The Mueller® Hot/Cold Lumbar Back Brace helps relieve lower back pain by providing support to strains, sprained and aching backs. It comes with a dual sided, removable lumbar pad for varying levels of support, as well as a removable hot/cold pack to help reduce pain and swelling. This versatile back brace has secondary straps for custom fit and compression. This brace also doubles a posture support which allows for you to wear it throughout the day.

About this item

Application/Instructions: •Cold therapy oPlace pack in freezer for 1.5 hours before use oPlace pack inside Mueller Lumbar Back Brace pouch, or wrap pack in protective material oApply Mueller Lumbar Back Brace to back with hot/cold pack inside, or apply wrapped pack to injured area in intervals of 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off •Hot therapy oMicrowave Microwave pack on HIGH (100% power) for 20 seconds Knead to distribute heat Microwave pack for additional 20 seconds If more heat is required, heat in additional 10-second increments until desired temperature is reached Allow pack to stand for 20 seconds before removing from oven Knead pack to distribute heat Place pack inside Mueller Lumbar Back Brace pouch, or wrap pack in protective material Apply Mueller Lumbar Back Brace to back with hot/cold pack inside, or apply wrapped pack to injured area in intervals of 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off oHot water Place pack in hot water (max 60°C) for 10 – 15 minutes Knead pad to distribute heat Place pack inside Mueller Lumbar Back pouch, or wrap pack in protective material Apply Mueller Lumbar Back Brace to back with hot/cold pack inside, or apply wrapped pack to injured area in intervals of 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off , 1. If desired, place lumbar pad inside brace pouch so that the desired support level is facing inward, and the logo is upright 2. Release secondary straps from main body 3. Use main body pull-pockets to center lumbar pouch on the back, and secure brace around waist 4. Use secondary strap pull-pockets to apply desired compression, and secure straps to main body , 1. If desired, place lumbar pad inside brace pouch so that the desired support level is facing inward, and the logo is upright. 2. Release secondary straps from main body. 3. Use main body pull-pockets to center lumbar pouch on the back, and secure brace around waist. 4. Use secondary strap pull-pockets to apply desired compression, and secure straps to main body.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for back aches. Wear over shirt. I received this brace as a trial. My back gets achy and I thought this would be beneficial. The first thing I would say is wear it over a shirt. I tried it without and it kept riding up and was uncomfortable. I had it on tight but I didn't want it too tight because that would also have been too uncomfortable. Over a shirt it conformed nicely and was fairly comfortable. The pack included was a nice benefit when feeling extra discomfort in the back. Again my only big issue is having to wear it over a top. I would have preferred to wear it under so it's not noticeable. I received this product as part of a My-Take research study.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for lower back pain! I was experiencing a lot of lower pain back that was impacting my daily life. It was hard to get comfortable, hard to sleep, and just took a lot of energy out of me. I tried this back brace and it made such a difference. I loved how it came with a cold/hot pad that you could use interchangeably. It was comfortable to wear and even helped with my posture a bit since the back had the brace it kept me more upright than I normally am during the day. I noticed a big difference in how I felt after I would wear the brace. It has relieved a lot of pain for me and made my days much more bearable. I would recommend to anyone experiencing back pain. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back support plus I have played sports and worked in construction most of my life and as you get older the back starts to go. Looked for a brace with support and other functions. This brace fir the bill. Was easy to set to my waist to secure a nice comfortable fit. Used it as I sat for a long time for support was excellent Used during some work around the house and really helped support my back. Very impressed. Best part was the ability to use the included cold pack. I placed it in the freezer then in the slot in the brace, wrapped it around and enjoyed the cold compress. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good support I've been wearing this brace for about two weeks - two weeks in which I've actively been preparing my garden for seeding. The brace has made all the difference in the world as to the amount of time I've been able to accomplish this work because I haven't experienced the usual 2-3 days of down time after each day of hoeing and bending. The only minus I could give this brace is that from top to bottom it's just a bit too wide to sit comfortably beneath my breasts; that said, it's not too uncomfortable to wear and is much more comfortable than I'd be feeling if I were doing the work without wearing a brace. The addition of the hot/cold insert has been a real blessing at the end of each day.

I use it for support when exercising and then can also use it afterwards with the insert which can provide either heat or cold therapy. It is easy to use and wear and is adjustable to provide the correct fit for comfort. It is my first experience with a product from this company and will purchase from them in the future.

Soft and comfortable to wear and when pain is overwhelming the hot and cold pack works well to ease the discomfort.
